I spent several days in the Chinese city of Chongqing during May 2006, where I spent my time (when not working) wandering around the campus, visiting the liberation monument, witnessing the confluence of the Jialing river and Yangtze river, seeing the wonderful municipal building, and visiting the Dazu stone carvings (after a 2 hour minibus ride through the Chinese countryside).
